1. Chapada Diamantina

The Chapada Diamantina has the best skills probably in Hiking in Brazil, and is a heaven for swimming in pools and for waterfalls like the amazing Cachoeira Fumaça, which has a 400m vertical drop. Chapada is a term that  describes highland plateaus, cliffs and Diamantina is refered to the diamonds that were found here and mined extensively from the mid C19th. At the very top of the flat top hills the vegetation is awesome. Wildlife is not seen easily. Else than the humming birds and vultures you unlikely are able to see the anteaters or jaguars which live there.

2. Fernando de Noronha

The  statue of Christ the Redeemer at the top of the Corcovado embraces the city of Rio. Corcovado or Hunchback Mountain is so named because of its shape. It also offers a great and englargen view of Rio’s beaches, Sugarloaf, the Guanabara Bay, Botafogo, Flamengo and much more.

4. Jericoacoara

Jericoacoara is a small village for fishing, mecca of windsurfing and kitesurfing, in Brazil. Situated around 300 km in west of the Fortaleza. Jeri, as it is better known, is the kind of fabulous place where many and many travelers finish up deciding to stay for longer and longer than they would  have  originally planned. Jericoacoara is such a place out  from the fast modern world of screeching sirens, maniac deadlines, traffic jams and endless problems. A place where streets consists  with sand, where beaches stretch as long as the eye can see and where warm water joins with palm breezes. About 20 years ago, Jericoacoara was  a secluded and a very simple fishing village. There were no signs of roads, no electricity, no phones, no TV’s or  newspapers, and money was hardly used.

5. Amazon River

Amazon basin is a marvel for the world and the imagination, an ecosystem of undefined size and diversity, and a place which is nearby mythical status among the travelers. The Amazon River has more water than the eight biggest rivers would combine and it is twice the area of whole India, and the basin includes eight countries. It’s a spring of life on the planet, a  source of so much of  air, water and weather we all are dependent on. However, The travel expectations without reason – like seeing jaguars and semi-clothed Indians around every bend – could or can be a recipe for disappointment. For all the size, the joys of Amazon are mostly subtle: the scary roar of howler monkeys, the undefinable variety of plant life, the kindness of riverside communities and the quiet but fabulous power of the river itself.
